Supportive Community: A local village is situated nearby. The villagers are exceptionally helpful and supportive of travelers.

The Permission Rule: Even with a welcoming community, always seek permission in a humble tone before setting up. This simple gesture goes a long way in maintaining the local goodwill.

Leave No Trace: Keep the site clean and respect nature. Since the community is so helpful, the best way to thank them is by leaving the beach exactly as you found it.

Waste Management: Pack out all trash and avoid using chemicals or soaps near the water to protect the local ecosystem.

Pro-Tip: Mattu is famous for its "Mattu Gulla" (brinjals) and occasional bioluminescence in the waves at night. If you’re lucky, you’ll see the water glow blue after dark! Just be sure to park on firm ground to avoid getting stuck in the soft sand near the backwater edge.
